We never distribute game files, installers, or executables of any kind. Every download below comes straight from its official publisher — the game art from Electronic Arts / Broadsword's own site, and the client from the open-source ClassicUO project. Thy antivirus may rest easy.

⚔ The Three Steps

Install the official Ultima Online client OFFICIAL — UO.COM

Download the Classic Client installer from the official site: uo.com/client-download. The download is free — no subscription or account is needed; we only need the art files it installs.

Run the installer, then launch the UO Classic Client patcher once and let it finish downloading (~2–3 GB of art, sound, and map files).
Note the install folder — by default:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Electronic Arts\Ultima Online Classic
You can close the official client afterward and never open it again — it cannot connect here, it's only the art.

Install ClassicUO OFFICIAL — CLASSICUO.EU

ClassicUO is the open-source Ultima Online client every major free shard uses — faithful era rendering with modern conveniences. Download the launcher from the official site: classicuo.eu (Windows, Linux, and macOS; source at github.com/ClassicUO).

Point it at the shard

Open the ClassicUO launcher and create a new profile with exactly these settings:

PROFILE NAME	Publish Fifteen
SERVER / HOST	uo.legitimate.one
PORT	2593
ULTIMA ONLINE PATH	the install folder from Step 1
CLIENT VERSION	leave auto-detected (7.0.x is correct)

Hit Play. At the login screen, enter the username and password you want — your account is created automatically on first login. Guard that password; there is no email recovery in 2002.

🗺 Your First Five Minutes

Character creation offers the classic nine Felucca cities — pick Ocllo if you're new; it's the newcomer's island.
This shard is Felucca-only: open PvP outside town guardzones. Mind the roads.
Your Power Hour begins at your first login after the daily maintenance (09:00 UTC) — accelerated skill gains for one continuous hour.
Server-up rares respawn at that same daily restart. The Yew fruit basket waits for the fastest login in Britannia.

⚙ Advanced: no launcher

Running bare ClassicUO without the launcher? Edit settings.json next to the ClassicUO executable:

Set clientversion to whatever the official patcher installed (shown in its title bar) if auto-detection complains. Linux and macOS work the same way — only the folder path differs.
